A Naming ceremony is a custom-designed version of the traditional religious ritual, that allows you to invite your friends and family along to your child’s first spiritual milestone, and to witness your public commitment to the child’s happy and healthy future.

This ceremony is suitable for a child of any age; if you are welcoming a new step-child or adopted-child, it can be a lovely transition into a new family. The child will receive a beautiful certificate to commemorate this day and I will provide you with an illustrated copy of the spoken service.

The event can be sombre or upbeat – that’s your choice. We’ll talk through the options first. You will need to choose a guardian/s and have them involved in the ceremony and prepared to make a public commitment to look after the child.
